In Kuala Lumpur last week, designers at Malaysia’s International Fashion Week proved that properly covering up with Islamic-inspired garments doesn’t mean you have to be a prude about style. Muslim fashion is an untapped market with lots of room for creativity–even designers like Christian Dior have revamped Islamic garments, including the floor-length abaya.
I think the most creative piece modeled was the Muslim-appropriate swimsuit.
