Jewelry made out of dead pets

bracelet jewelryThis is a great and creepy way for your pet to live on forever. L-Born is a Shiga prefecture-based company that takes the remains of your cremated pet, mixes it with clay, then bakes it into cute pieces of jewelery. The orange-colored clay used to make the bracelets and necklaces is taken from the bed of Lake Biwa, and is the same clay the famous Shigaraki ware is crafted from. The bracelets cost about 31,500 yen or US$351.

L-Born’s spokeswoman says, “We believe that these items of jewelry will serve as eternal reminders of a pet and an important member of the family.”
